I’m sharing #SausageFamily in my life as part of a Johnsonville sponsored series for Socialstars.

Recently I have been working on a lot of recipes that repurpose classic Thanksgiving dishes and next on my hitlist is stuffing. Stuffing is, for most people, the best part of the Turkey Day meal. What’s not to love about it? Mmm, bread. I have been trying to think about what to do with the inevitable leftover stuffing this Thanksgiving. Then it hit me. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving! No, I’m not talking about going shopping.

For a lot of family’s Friday is Pizza Day. I know that’s how it was in my husband’s household growing up. Even at my daughter’s pre-school they serve pizza for lunch on Friday. So what better way to repurpose stuffing than to try my hand at making Thanksgiving Stuffing Pizza? I know, carb overload, but my mouth is watering at the possibilities!

Now I grew up in an Italian household, so naturally, I wanted to make some slight changes to the traditional stuffing by adding Johnsonville Ground Italian Sauage to the mix. All of Johnsonville’s Ground Italian Sausage is All Natural and adds flavor to any recipes. It is available in three flavors: mild, sweet, and hot! Check out the recipe below!
