Do you ever worry about your toiletries exploding in your bag when you travel? I know I am always concerned about ruining my clothing and shoes with an exploding toiletry. I am always worried about it because it has happened before.
My mom would always have a toiletry suit case for all these items, but these days with all the extra fees for baggage and ounce limits, you are limited to checking your toiletries in your large suit case.
I started by tightening and closing all the toiletries so that nothing was loose. Also, I locked any pumps that could be locked.
Next, I wrapped each toiletry with Glad Press’n Seal that I bought at Walmart. I tried not to waist it and used exactly the amount need to wrap each product entirely.
Finally, I put the toiletries into a Glad Freezer Zipper Gallon Bag for extra protection.

That is a really neat trick! I think I might try this the next time I travel (if I remember)!
That’s such a great idea. I’ve used Press N’ Seal for all kinds of things, but never packing. This looks like it will work perfectly.
I really like the Glad Press and Seal but I’ve never thought about using it like this. Now you have me thinking what else I can do with it!
Wow! You gave me such a great idea! Usually I use ziplock bags for all my toiletries to make sure there are no spills, but the Glad Press will do! Thanks for sharing!
This is such a good idea! It is a disaster when stuff leaks all over your luggage! I will have to keep this in mind the next time I travel.
Very smart to keep it wrapped up! The mess that could possibly happen would be such a nightmare, great way to have things protected.
Oh how awesome. I wouldn’t ever think to wrap it all up. Very smart. I remember as a kid on vacations and things would explode and be all over. This is so clever!
Wrapping them using Glad is a great idea. From now on, I will wrap my toiletries with this instead of regular plastic bags. Thanks for sharing.
This is such a great idea. I have always used baggies, but I hate wasting them because I throw them away after we get there and it feels like money down the drain! I am doing this for our next camping trip. Thanks for the awesome idea!
Yup, I have experience a mess like that and it’s awful especially if they get to everything in the bag. thanks for the tips!
I’m always worried about my items spilling out and messing up my things. I normally put them in a snack/sandwich bag but I never thought to wrap them in press ‘n seal. Great idea.
Sealing them with press n seal is such a genius idea! I usually use baggies, but this would be so much better!
This is a genius idea. I will have to use this stuff next time I travel.
This idea is brilliant!! I always use a ton of tape to seal the lids. I’m going to try this this summer!
I don’t usually bring much that can leak just because of the leaking worry – I never thought of this really great idea! And Glad is such a fab product! Thx for the ideas 🙂
This is a good idea. I am super paranoid about my shampoo bottles exploding so I usually tape the top down with masking tape and then put them in ziplock bags. (Told you I was paranoid. haha). But this press n’ seal idea looks much simpler and I can ALWAYS use the extra space in my luggage.
Ooh I pack similarly. Instead of wrapping the entire product up, I open the cap and put saran wrap and screw the cap back on.
I have never tried this before. I hate when my shampoo gets on everything. I like this trick.
This is a trick I’d use. And hurrah for pump locks, those are a great invention when it comes to taking items with you while traveling.
I use the press n seal wrap for a lot of things in the house! It really comes in handy for a lot of things!
I’ve got a trip to New York this week so this is SO perfect for me. I need to give this one a try.
When traveling with toiletries, I’ve always just used a Ziploc bag. However, this press and seal method is way better than that! I would have never thought of it.
