Toxic Free Nail Polish
Getting a mani-pedi is one of the most relaxing beauty rituals out there. It is such a satisfying and fun expression of individuality. You get to pick the color and designs to express your personality. What could be more fulfilling? Doing it without exposing yourself to toxins! I found these uber cute Toxic Free Nail Polish from The Body Shop.
Until pretty recently, most nail polishes included what is called the toxic three: formaldehyde, toleune and DBP (dibutyl phthalate). Several companies responded by eliminating these 3 toxins and a very few other other went even further to eliminate the last two toxins (camphor and Bisphenol A). The Body Shop new nail polish not only is toxin free, it is also 100% Vegan and, as with all Body Shop products, they are not tested on animals.
I love The Body Shop Green for the holidays and beyond. This dark green is almost black, but not! I wore a ton this month! Here I am wearing it with the new color of the year, Marsala and again with this Art Inspired Outfit.
Here I am wearing The Body Shop Nail Polish – 110 Crimson Kiss. Photo from City Place Post.
After trying the nail polishes, I also tried out the fantastic smelling Sweet Oil Nail Polish Remover! The formula is infused with sweet almond, soya oil and Community Fair Trade Sugar Cane essence. It is acetone free and gentle improving nail condition and softening nail cuticles!!
One April Golightly reader will win The Body Shop Nail Polish Gift Basket with 6 eco-friendly nail polishes, a new sweet oil nail polish remover, a gentle nail file and a new nail art pen; a $72 value.
