Who doesn’t love a good charity event !?!  This do-gooder event was extra special for me as it was the first time that I ever set foot into the famous Versace Mansion.  I vividly recall longing to enter years ago on my first adult visit to Miami Beach.  This was years before the mansion was open to the public.

After years of living in Miami, I still never gained entry into the iconic Miami mansion. Almost exactly 10 years after I first peeked through the Versace gates, I was finally able to explore the magnificent mansion and contribute to a good cause at the same time.  It could not have been more perfect!  I decided to go all-out and wear a full length dress that has been hanging in my closet unworn for at least five years.  In fact, the serendipity of the unworn dress and the unvisited mansion just occurred to me. The Monsoon dress was purchased on Ebay as it reminded me of Audrey Hepburn’s famous black and white gown. The principle reason it went unworn for so long is that one rarely finds the need to wear a gown and when one does, it is usually a wedding.  Since there is no way that I would commit the faux pas of wearing white on someone else’s big day, it hung unworn until an equally fabulous event came up.  If you make it to Miami, the Versace Mansion is a must!
