The west coast of Florida has such a different feel from the east coast. It seems so much more chill and relaxing! I love the calm water and the calm people that we met on our visit to St. Pete.
We started our journey from the east coast of Florida to the West Coast of Florida in Mazda CX-5. It is super luxurious and fun to drive! It is extremely spacious and comfortable to fit the family and tons of luggage.
We rocked out to XM tunes the entire ride to St. Pete. I discovered the Comedy Central station. It is the bomb and makes me want the Mazda CX-5 with XM! Also, I am obsessed with being able to make radio changes from the steering wheel. It made me very comfortable driving my precious cargo (my daughter) across Florida because he 2016 CX-5 was named a 2015 Top Safety Pick Plus by the IIHS when equipped with available Smart City Brake Support.
When we arrived in St. Pete we were welcomed by a beautiful sunset over the Gulf that we could see from our balcony at The Inn on the Beach. The hotel is ideal for couples looking for a getaway where they can cook their own dinners and make take strolls on the beach gazing into each other’s eyes. It is not the best for families, but we still had an amazing time at the beach exploring. We saw crabs, conch, and starfish. My daughter was very into it!
After spending time on the beach, we explored St. Pete where we found an amazing downtown on the water area with great restaurants and shopping. Then, we went to the St. Pete Children’s Museum and Sunken Gardens. This was the highlight of the trip for us. The Sunken Gardens is beautiful with endless amount of different pants and lots of animals.
Complimentary accommodations were provided by Inn on the Beach. Also, The vehicle was provided to me for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.
