This week I had the pleasure of learning all about Wendy’s Salad. After delving into the process of how the salads are made at Wendy’s, I have a new healthy on the go food. I have been complaining to my husband for months about not being able to find a health option when I am having a busy day. I wanted to share my new discovery with you.

Wendy's Salads

Wendy’s focuses on freshness! In every Wendy’s restaurant, employees freshly chop vegetables every day, starting with full heads of iceberg and romaine lettuces and other veggies like cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes. We saw the employees chopping the lettuce and veggies, then we put together the salad ourselves. Seeing behind the scenes really made me confident about eating the Wendy’s Salads.

Every salad entrée uses only premium white meat chicken breasts that are grilled at the time of your order and placed warm on your salad.

Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas opened the first Wendy’s restaurant in 1969 grounded on the premise that “Quality is our Recipe®.” For more than 45 years, Wendy’s has been invested in bringing customers the quality ingredients that differentiate us from others in the industry.

  1. These salads look great! Usually a salad from a fast food restaurant is all soggy and gross. This looks amazing, though.

  2. It’s so cool to get a behind the scenes look at how fast-food joints prep their food. They always get a bad rep at how fresh, or not-so-fresh their food is.

  3. My favorite is the apple pecan. I don’t eat chicken so I always ask them to leave it off. Some Wendy’s will reduce the price and others won’t 🙂 But I love their salads.

  6. Those full size ones look kind of big, don’t think I could eat one so I’d probably get a half. They do look delicious though! I usually always get a chicken sandwich when I go to Wendy’s, maybe I’ll have to get this instead.

  8. It’s nice to see some decent fast food options with salads. Most salads are loaded with all kinds of junk that makes them unhealthy but it’s great that these have so many veggies.

  14. Looking at all these pictures made my mouth water! I had no idea that they chop their own fresh veggies. I just figured they came in a big plastic bag, already chopped and ready to go (and already several days old).

  15. I like Wendy’s. They are the bit healthier place to go to for fast food. I like to get a salad without cheese and croutons, a baked potato with butter and sour cream on the side and a small chili. Yum.
