Orson Welles TV Quote, wordless wednesday: tevelsion, TV quote

“I hate television. I hate it as much as peanuts. But I can’t stop eating peanuts.” – Orson Welles. I don’t really hate television, but sometimes I wish I could be one of those people without a television that reads instead of watching TV all the time. I have read a ton of books this year including all 5 Game of Throne books, several baby handbooks, baby rhyme books I read to my daughter and some others for my month book club. I suppose I might run out of things to read if I didn’t have a TV or I might become one of those people who read 100 books a year. Even better, maybe I’d write more! That would be fabulous! Maybe I’ll cancel my cable just to see if it that happens. Save money and write a screenplay…sounds great! I’ll let you know what happens.

Do you hate Television?

  1. Ha! I don’t hate TV, but it’s been years since I’ve had “live” TV in my house. For about 14 years we’ve only had a DVD player and now Amazon Instant and Netflix. I love watching things on my iPad while I update social media! I do wish I had more time to read!
