Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2019 – Low Carb Eats is a sponsored post. As always, all opinions 100% my own.

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is an event that I always love attending. It is the only place on earth that I know of that you can try foods from around the world. One second, you are eating Korma Chicken from Indian and the next you are eating Charcuterie in a Cone from Spain.

Epcot food & Wine festival

My family grew up going to the Walt Disney World Resort and Epcot every year. Epcot was one of favorites because it felt like you were traveling to all the different counties. I would get trinkets from each country. Now, that I am an adult, I love doing the same with my daughter. She has an umbrella from China that she uses all the time and we have so many memories of eating the amazing foods from around the world.

Low Carb at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Over the past few months, I am been doing my best to keep my diet low carb. I did my best to do the same during Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Not everything is perfectly within the Keto diet, but you can keep on track with these choices.

You can also take into account that you walk a lot when you are Disney and will be able to take in more carbs that a normal day. Or, you can skip you diet for the day! No judgment either way!

Norway Epcot

Appleseed Orchid

At the Appleseed Orchid, you can get the charcuterie and cheese plate featuring Burton’s Maplewood Farm applejack brandy barrel aged maple syrup.

Brazil at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Dig into South American cuisine and culture with the Land of the Palms’ finest fare. The Moqueca: Brazilian Seafood Stew featuring Scallops, Shrimp and White Fish with Coconut-Lime Sauce and Steamed Rice. You can eat around the rice and be in great shape. Also, the crispy pork belly with black beans, tomato and onions is gluten free and lower in carbs than most.

Canada at Epcot Food & Wine

Try the Le Cellier Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce (GF). This dish is a rockstar dish choice for those of us on the Keto diet. Steak, mushrooms, and butter are all Keto friendly ingredients.

The Cheese Studio hosted by Boursin® Cheese

Nibble delish cheesy dishes paired with the perfect vintage for an unforgettable nosh stop! The braised beef “Stroganoff” with Tiny Egg Noodles, Wild Mushrooms and Boursin® Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese Sauce (KA) is a good choice. You could ask them to skip the noodles at the pick up window or just push them aside. Don’t be fooled by the name egg noodle, they still have 27 g in 1 cup of noodles.

China at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

At the Global Marketplace, you can stop by the China to try the low carb and Keto friendly Wuxi Spareribs. They are delicious and a party for the senses.

India at Epcot Food Wine Festival

Introduce yourself to new flavors with ancient origins—the smorgasbord of Indian spices will whisk you off to faraway worlds! The Korma Chicken with Cucumber Tomato Salad, Almonds, Cashews and Warm Naan Bread is delicious. I ate it while just this week. I shared my Naan bread with my friends so that I was not temped to eat them.

Epcot India

Islands of the Caribbean

Journey to the islands of the Caribbean, where the fusion of food and cultures create a melody in your mouth! The Jerk-spiced Chicken with Roasted Sweet Plantain Salad and Mango Chutney Yogurt (GF) is gluten free and lower carb. There is some sugar in the plantains and mango, but it is not as bad as eating a straight up dessert.

Italy at Epcot Food Wine Festival

Mangiare… savor the simple elegance of cucina italiana, with some of the world’s best-loved food and wine. Try this low carb option when you are in Italy: the Costine di Maiale: Balsamic-glazed and Oven-roasted Pork Ribs.

Japan at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Delight your appetite with sushi and other delish dishes as well as libations from the Land of the Rising Sun! In Japan at the World Showcase, I ate a yummy spicy tuna roll where I just avoided the rice in the roll. It comes in a to go package so it is the perfect choice to take with you to one of the concerts so you can eat it while you listen. It is really eating to the beat.

Even though I on a low carb diet, I did indulge in a shaved ice sake drink from Japan. It was worth the sugar because it tasted amazing and kept me cool. I would highly recommend the Coconut Pineapple Sake Shaved Ice as your carb during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

You cannot beat this amazing cone of meats, cheeses, and olives.

The Wine & Dine Studio

Sample signature dishes along with an elegant medley of wines hailing from the Golden State’s renowned vineyards. The Seared Scallops, Truffled Celery Root Purée, Brussels Sprouts and Wild Mushrooms was amazing and definitely Keto friendly.

The Wine & Dine Studio

The best part of eating Keto is getting to eat cheese. The Wine & Dine Studio has a Trio of Artisan Cheese (V): Gorgonzola with Cow and Sheep’s Milk, Artigiano Aged Balsamic & Cipolline Onion, and Italico.

You can also try the Artist Palette of Wine and Cheese: Trio of Artisan Cheeses paired with Reata Chardonnay, Rainstorm Silver Linings Pinot Noir Rosé and Spellbound Petite Sirah. Wine is not that high in carbs if you want to partake in this combination.
