Chalk Preschool Online

This week I signed up for Chalk Preschool using the Preschool Curriculum to help me teach my daughter more about the world we live in. Each day I used new lessons and printables to help teach my munchkin. Chalk Preschool is an online school that has both a child learning area as well as a parent learn section. Both were extremely helpful in helping me teach my daughter. This can be used as a supplement to preschool.

Harrison Ford is my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog that I consider my first child. He sleeps with me every night and shows me that he misses me by giving me what I have found out is called the Cavalier Hug. He pins me down and licks my face until he is satisfied that I will never leave again. We recently brought Harrison Ford into the vet and found out that he has a heart murmur that requires that he takes it easy and that he needs to be on medication to help.

My Healthy Home & Makeup Bag

I was always a fan of a clean house free of harsh chemicals, but now that I have a little one crawling all over the house, the importance of using safe products is priority number one. It can be very expensive to choose healthy options, but Walgreens has come out with a new line of products that makes it easy to keep my home clean without having to use harmful chemicals.

I started by cleaning out makeup bag and my makeup brushes using the Walgreens Ology Castile Soap. The soap is a gentle cleanser producing a mild, creamy lather making it safe for sensitive skin and expensive makeup brushes. It has no harmful chemicals like Sulfate, paraben and petrochemical and the product is not tested on animals.It is only $10.49 for 32 ounces. That is a whole lot of brush cleanings!

Steps for cleaning Makeup Brushes from your Makeup Bag:

Pour 1 capful of Walgreens Ology Castile Soap into a small bowl of water. Swirl the brush in the soap and water mixture, being careful to only get the bristles wet.
Gently massage the bristles between your fingers, starting at the base and working to the tip of the brush until it looks like no more makeup is coming off of the brush.
If the brush is really dirty, you can make the liquid more concentrated by adding another capful of castile soap.
Next, press the brushes against a paper towel to dry and and reshape the brush between your fingers.
Lay brushes flat on a paper towel to dry. Always lay your brushes flat to avoid water getting into the handle and ferrule which can cause rust or deterioration of the brush.

Walgreens recently came out with a new line of cleaning products that are free from the following 10 harmful chemicals: Ammonia, Chlorine bleach, DEA (diethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine), Parabens, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Nonylphenol ethoxylates, Triclosan, SLS, SLES. Plus, Walgreens Ology does not use artificial dyes or fragrances.

Disney Princesses are pretty awesome and if you are planning a Disney Princess party or just a Disney themed party, this No Sew Disney Princess TuTu DIY is for you. I divided the instructions into pre-party and during party instructions to make it easier to host the party. I chose tulle in princess and villain type colors like: red (Minnie Mouse and Cruella Deville), pink (Sleeping Beauty or ), Light Blue/Green (The Little Mermaid), Yellow (Mulan, Belle, Snow White), Light Blue (Cinderella) and Black (Ursula and Maleficent).

Big City Moms Gift Bag Review

I attended the Big City Moms Baby Shower in Miami this year and the Big City Moms Gift Bag was filled with awesome baby and mommy swag! The swag bag was filled with the goodies I have listed below and also I picked up a ton of other awesome swag by walking around meeting all the vendors. There was also a bingo game with big ticket prizes like the 4moms bouncer and Joovy Stroller. Check out the picture below with some of serious swag we walked away with! I thought I was going to have to walk this to my car, but they have transportation for your bags and will walk you to your car. What service!?

It really is not fair how quickly babies grow up once they are out of your belly. It feels like just yesterday that I brought my little (not so little at 9 pounds 2 ounces) daughter home from the hospital. She is now ready to start eating real food and of course, with eating real food comes purchasing baby gear like highchairs, bowls, spoons, and bibs.

We started feeding my daughter solids at 6 months from the Joovy HiLo Highchair. Joovy is a American company that is family-run business! How rare is that these days!? All the Joovy designs are contemporary and functional. The simplistic design of the HiLo Highchair does not make me feel like the baby has taken over my dining room as well as every other room in the house. It is amazingly functional as well.

My daughter has Chicco car seat that we love and I was excited to try out something new from the Italian brand. We received a 4 orthodontic pacifiers and 4 different stages of bottle to review and have been having a blast using them with my daughter.
