My summer is usually filled with scratching and listening to my husband complain about being bit my mosquitoes. They really love to bite him. I’ve read that it is blood type thing, but I think it is because he has not lived in the tropics long enough. Am I just being silly?
On the one hand, the thought of spending summer outside having fun with my family excites me and on the other hand it freaks me out because of all the bugs. The mosquitoes are the worst during the summer because the days and dusk are both longer. Dusk is my favorite time to be outside because the sun is not as powerful as normal and that is the best time to get photos. It’s called golden hour because everything has a gold sheen and there are no harsh shadows. Lately, we have been using Cutter® Skinsations® Insect Repellent. It works great and is easy to spray on. I love spending time with my hubby walking on the beach when my mom does some babysitter. The munchkin is not walking yet and she finds sand so yummy. As a good mom, I prefer to keep sand off my infants menu. Hopefully, she will stop that soon so she can enjoy the beach with us.
The baby just got a new toy that she is obsessed with. It is a pirate ship water table where she splashes for hours.

How will you have comfortable fun this summer?
Do you have any tips for being comfortable in the summer?
My idea of comfortable fun in the summer is anywhere there is AC haha Kidding…sorta… We spend a lot of time in our yard, which is really shady! My daughter LOVES her water table, but it’s not as cool as the one you have!! Oh! and I LOVE your outfit from your walk on the beach! CUTE!

Bugs are horrible in our area where we just moved. That is something I’m still getting used to. We didn’t have to wear insect spray hardly at all; but now we have to wear it all the time or we get eaten alive! Definitely would make our summer more comfortable.
I take sun breaks and find shade to break up the heat. That and plenty of water!
This summer is hard for me because I’m pregnant… but I will be treating myself to extra A/C (window unit) and lots of light cooking for the family to stay nice and cool!
I was pregnant last year at this time too. It is the worst!!! We need to plan better for the next baby. 😉

I LOVE your skirt in the picture with your husband! Mosquitoes have been bad here too; I need to pick up some of this repellant.
