This week I was running from swimming lessons to gymnastics with lunches and dinners with family in from out of town. It is great seeing family and spending some serious quality time with everyone. My Aunt and I made our first attempt at making French Macaroons whisking by hand. Yes! We are crazy. They came out pretty good, but I bought a whisk attachment for my stand mixer that will likely bring the macroons to blog post worthy.
Since I was a crazy person running all over town, I expected to look horrible with no foundation left on my face and black lines under my eyes. I am happy to say that I still looked put together even after hours of running around. I am very impressed by Hayden Pantierre’s All Day Beauty videos with Neutrogena. I chose the day off look because technically the day I described is a day off from work. As a new mom, I never really have a day off, but this is the closest thing I get to it.
First, I start by taking a shower and washing my hair with Triple Repair Fortifying Shampoo & Conditioner. It helps take care of split ends, protects from breakage, and works great on color treated hair. Also, it does not leave my hair greasy, but makes it look shiny.
Next, I start my morning facial beauty routine with Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer because it is not greasy and it does not make me break out. I have been using this moisturizer for years and love how light it is.
Then, I cover my entire face and neck with Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 20 in Buff. It is a light coverage that glides on easily, hides and looks natural at the same time. It also has an exclusive blend of antioxidants and Broad Spectrum SPF 20 for great protect that maintains my skin’s healthy look.
Next, I put on Neutrogena® Shine Control Powder which helps skin stay shine-free and fresh-looking all day. The lightweight powder with patent-pending rice protein technology acts like a sponge to absorb excess oil and instantly eliminates shine for a fresh look that lasts for 8 hours. Layers invisibly over makeup with a matte finish. You don’t want to put on too much, just a quick sweep. I kept in my bag with a small brush for shiny touch ups. After all, it is still summer and today it was 94 degrees.
After my face is put on, I put just a little eye makeup on to make my eyes pop. I look tired without any mascara so I apply Neutrogena® Healthy Volume® Mascara Regular and Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner both in black. The liner goes on the inside of my lid to make the mascara stand out more. I do not use on my lower lashes ad I feel that is a little overdone for a day look.
Lastly, I top off the look with Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Sweet Watermelon. The Color Stick instantly moisturize lips, while continuously conditioning them so they are softer and smoother in just 3 days with nothing on them. It is made with fruit extracts along with mango and shea butter. It is a balm-like formula that goes on very easily. No liner needed. It is a very sheer color that lasts for hours. I was shocked when it was still on 4 hours into my day when I grabbed lunch. Also, it is twist up pencil with no sharpener needed.
I picked up all these goodies at Target. I got 10% off Neutrogena products with my Cartwheel App. Check out the Target Beauty Concierge event. The Event begins August 24th, Limited quantities available. Check with your local Target store for Beauty Concierge day and times.
