Summer is right around the corner, and it is time to start thinking about your entertaining schedule. I am hosting a summer birthday party for my daughter with a summery flamingo theme. Here is the preliminary planning that I do for summer entertaining.
I start my summer party planning by shopping at the store for all the goodies that I will need for the party. I usually hit up the grocery store, a mass retailer like Target and/or (usually and) Walmart, a Party Store (online or in person), and Total Wine. This is usually done in several stages starting with the party store and Total Wine.
I love to make at least one signature cocktail per party so that I have something special and original to offer my guests. This takes some prep and mixology beforehand so that I have a universally yummy cocktail for my guests to drink.
Whether I buy the decor or make it myself, this is something that I do far in advance. My husband is going to be sick of flamingos by the time the party starts.
Stocking the bathroom with toilet paper, hand towels and soap is extremely important for any party host. Nothing is more embarrassing than running out of toilet paper during a party.
I always buy Charmin because it is super soft, and it has a clog-free guarantee. It ensures that my plumbing will run smoothly so I can enjoy the party and have one less thing to worry about it.
Charmin and Roto-Rooter (America’s largest provider of plumbing & drain services) have teamed up to remind consumers of the clog-free and septic tank safe guarantee that only comes with Charmin. Roto-Rooter plumbers recommend Charmin more than any other brand. You cannot beat getting recommendations from experts! Get more deets on Facebook.
Now that I have shared my summer party planning, what are your plans for the summer?
