J. Jill True Blue Friendship Challenge  and Jeans for you and your True Blue Friend Giveaway

J. Jill recently contact me to ask if I would be one of their influencers. Of course, I said YES! I love that J.Jill makes shopping easy for real women. Did you know that they have dressing staples like jeans and tanks tops in the dressing room? They launched a True Blue Challenge asking J. Jill fans, like me, to write about their True Blue Friends. The first person that came to mind is my friend, Karalee. She came over this week to see my daughter, (I have been demoted since she was born. ;)) when she gave me permission to write about her. We also to plan our jeans shopping date. J. Jill is giving both of us a pair of jeans and you can also win a pair of jeans for you and your true-blue friend by telling me about your true blue friend in the comments below.

True Blue FriendshipTrue blue is a phrase that is defined as follows: completely faithful and loyal to a person or cause. We use the term often in conversation, especially when referring to a true blue friend. J. Jill is hosting a jeans campaign to support true blue friendship. Karalee is a true blue friend that has grown with me through the years. I went to school with her husband and when I was swamped with my studies and barely had time to eat, she would bring over dinner so I did not have to waste precious study time cooking or running around looking for take out. When I first had my baby and time was just as precious, she came by with dinner again.

True Blue Friends

She really listens to my stories and remembers the names of the actors in my life. It seems like yesterday when I met her and now this year will be 10 years! We have not lived in the same city in nearly 7 years, yet we still manage to pick up a conversation like we live down the street from each other and coordinate our entire week based on each other schedule. I searched through our old emails and found 10 years of emails hilarious. My first email from her to my brand new at the time gmail account was: Subject: Friday! Body: Send me some details! KL

I want to thank Karalee for being a true blue friend for nearly 10 years! You are the best!

Also, as you can see, the pictures are awesome! We’ve had a blast and I look forward to many more good times!

Why not go jeans shopping with your true-blue friend? Karalee and I are going shopping for our jeans next week. All J. Jill stores are offer 20% off denim between Feb 6 and 12.

J.Jill’s denim is inspired by artisan patterns in the color blue — toile prints, indigo tiles, pen and ink sketches–and was  designed into indigo and softer shades of blue (e.g., Atlantic and Periwinkle) for a fresh perspective for you. You’ll also find a variation of mixed motifs, deep denim washes and lighthearted intarsias throughout the new denim collection.
Authentic Fit Slim Boot-Cut Jeans — These create a lean silhouette. These jeans have a slimmer, slightly flared leg opening creating a flattering, balanced fit for both shoes and boots, and the higher rise is perfect to tuck in shirts and maintain a smooth silhouette –.Jill recommends a brightly colored button up with cami underneath. If you’d prefer a longer top to create a long, lean line – try an A-line shape cardigan that mirrors the flare of the jeans.

Slim Boyfriend – This type of denim is like your favorite boyfriend jean but now more straight and streamlined for a more feminine fit. Straight fit through hips and thighs for a silhouette that flatters every body. J.Jill’s tip – play with both proportions and volume with the slim boyfriend, both slim and fuller-volume tops work well. A streamlined top has a slimming effect (especially in black!) over the straight shape of the slim boyfriend jeans, whereas fuller tops create a visual balance with the straight bottom.

Tried & True Slim Ankle – These were inspired by the classic and timeless ankle silhouette, and conform beautifully to a woman’s shape with the ankle-length seam falling in just the right place. Pair with a longer length top with either a little or a lot of volume — either works! Try tunic for a slim, lengthening effect, or a more voluminous sweater over a stretch cotton tee for a flattering layered take.

Tried & True Slim Leg – These jeans are super flattering thanks to J.Jill’s cotton-stretch fabric for a great fit, recovery and comfort. The dark color elevates the look, and the slim leg looks great with heels, flats or tucked into boots. These jeans are a perfect complement to tops with an A-line shape or hem interest. Pairing them with an anorak would make for a classic look with balanced proportions, or try a high-low hem to create interest on top while slimming and elongating the bottom.

  1. I would definitely consider my sister Angie my most true blue friend. She’s known me since birth and still puts up with me. Getting older has helped us get along so much better than when we were kids and I’m so glad we live close to each other!

  6. My true blue friend and I met at work many years ago. We have very different lifestyles but still manage a deep rooted friendship. We are so honest with each other, others find it strange. We do not judge, blame, or frown upon each other. We can say whatever we truly feel. We laugh, we love, we shop, we play…we do everything together as often as we can.

She moved about 5 -6 hours away 12 years ago but we still stay close via telephone often. She was 7 years older than me but she was like a mother, sister, mentor and most of all friend. she guided me through so many life circumstances with her wise and caring advice. 27. My true blue friend is Lisa. She helped me through my mom’s recent death simply by being herself. She was kind, supportive. She laughed and cried with me and I love her pure heart. She is so much more a sister to me than just a friend. Sometimes we choose with our hearts not our blood.
