Wear Chambray Shirt Like a Jacket

A chambray shirt worn like a jacket replaces a thicker jean jacket this summer. Throw the chambray shirt over a graphic print t-shirt or graphic tank top. You can find these graphic tanks and t-shirts in stores like Forever 21 or American Eagle where they have very inexpensive versions. Check out the ones that like below. The key is finding a thin one so that you stay cool in the heat this summer. Pair the thin graphic tank top and chambray shirt worn like a jacket with a pair of white skinny jean or jeggings and platform sandals.

I have not been to the beach in quite some time since we bought a house with a pool, but that does not mean I should stop looking beach chic this summer! Beach hair waves are so fabulous and I wish I had the energy to do it myself everyday! I have natural waves in my hair, but it’s just not the same as getting your hair done. I love the new era of hair salons where you can go into a salon and completely avoid the hair dye smell and just get a great look for a night out or photo shoot. My friend, Sahily of Pretty In Pigment hosted a blogger party at the local SoBlo Salon where they did everyone’s hair and makeup artists from Neiman Marcus YSL counter came to put the finishing touches on out summer looks!

This chambray weekend outfit is my fave weekend look right now! It is fun to layer denim on denim for a great weekend look. The key to looking great in denim on denim is selecting complimentary washes and mixing in colored denim. Chambray print button downs look great with white skinny jeans or white jeggings.

Leopard is a timeless print that can be worn by women of any age. My daughter just got a ton pink leopard outfits and shoes at my baby shower and I wear leopard print all the time and have been since college. There was a short period of time when I was anti-leopard, but that was during a very impressionable period of time in my life when I followed magazine advice to religiously and it was list on the out of style list. How times have changed!?

Hospital Bag Checklist

I am putting together my hospital bag right now as the baby is coming very soon. According to my last ultra-sound at 35 weeks, my baby is 1 ounce shy of 8 pounds. That is amazing and I am sort of freaked out by how big she is. I am scheduled for a c-section because of her size on July 9. To keep my mind off of the c-section, I am packing my hospital bag with the use of my hospital bag checklist. When I say hospital bag, I mean hospital bags as I do not own a bag that will fit all of the things that I might need.

Clear Clutch DIY

I have been eying the clear acrylic clutches by Charlotte Olympia for quite some time. I decided to give my clear clutch DIY a try when they opened the Container Store at Boca Town Center. There was perfect clear case that works perfecting for my clear clutch DIY. It is a very clutch-able size at 5 x 9 x 2 1/5. I chose the red, white, and blue star print fabric in honor of Independence Day/ The Fourth of July that is approaching.
