For Mother’s Day this year, I had the fortunate opportunity to mix & mingle with Alina Villasante, designer, creator, and visionary of the famed lifestyle brand Peace Love World, as well as members of her creative team. Originally from Havana, Cuba, Alina Villasante came to Miami at the young age of eighteen. With her two best friends in tow, and with her natural ability to set trends, host in-house fashion shows, and unfailing commitment to spread positive energy, Peace Love World was born.

“Today, Peace Love World is more than just a symbol on a shirt; it is a way of life. Every garment is branded with positive affirmations and infused with love in the form of eight embroidered dash-marks, one dash for every letter in the word ‘love’ and one for every letter of the word ‘amor’”. Furthermore, as a conscious brand, Peace Love World gives back through it’s support of Zanmi Beni, an organization formed to assist abandoned and disabled children in Haiti, as well as collaborations with special partners in breast cancer, autism, and multiple sclerosis.

In their latest of collaborations, Peace Love World has joined forces with Pharell Williams to create it’s “HAPPY” collection, which I really loved! I especially enjoyed the pieces adorned with Pharell’s signature Buffalo, or Mountain, hat.

And, the current jewelry collection?…Simply to die for!!! I nearly fell over myself as I drooled over the carefully handpicked pieces, designed by jewelry designer Monisha Melwani. Some of the pieces were even encrusted with tiny black diamonds. Absolutely gorgeous!
