One of my favorite things about Star Wars wasn’t always the Jedi. It was the characters that lived in this universe. The rogues, the bounty hunters. The hive of scum and villany indeed! Rogue One, one of the first “spin-off” films that will be released in the Star Wars Universe is shaping up .
Rogue One will take place shortly before Star Wars: A New Hope and will be unique in that it will focus on the ground efforts of the Rebel resistance. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla”) and will feature a SLEW of talented actors including Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Forrest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed.
Everything about this feels promising, and I for one, have my hopes sky high. Rogue One will be released December 16th, 2016.
