Walgreens Pharmacy Chat
Last week, I was starving and I ordered pizza and canolli from an app on my phone. I was also not feeling great and decided to try out another convenience app from Walgreens that provides pharmacy chat that allows you to chat with a pharmacist without having to go to the pharmacy. It is a great way to skip lines and avoid other sick people so that I can spend as much healthy time with my daughter as possible.
First, I signed into the Walgreens app that I previously downloaded to order photos a few months ago. I launched the pharmacy chat and waited to be helped for a little bit. The app kept me apprised to where I was in line and the best part of the whole thing was that I was able to move in and out of the Walgreens app without loosing my spot in line. I answered an email and wrote a tweet while I was waiting. Blogging and motherhood means that a second can never be wasted.
I explained my symptoms and the fact that I’m breast feeding to the pharmacist and she gave me a shopping list and also an at home remedy. She recommended that I get natural Ricola cough drops for my sore throat and Ayr saline nasal gel for my dry nose. The nasal gel is so much better than nasal spray. I hate nasal spray because it always burns!
The Walgreens app allows you to access your prescription history, immunization history, and print prescriptions. You can set up Auto Refill (Automatic Prescription Refills) and refill reminder emails or texts. You can also use the app for prescription transfers.
As a new mom Family Prescription Management is new to me, but is very important! With the Walgreens app, it was easy to take charge of my family’s medications. When necessary I can enroll family members and stay on top of everyone’s medications, order and print prescriptions for my hubby, daughter, and my puppy, Harrison Ford.
