My girlfriends and I just went to the Dominican Republic a few weeks ago for an incredibly relaxing week with my girl friends. We spent a lot of time bonding and did some charity work. After the trip had ended, I wanted to get the gals back together to hang out. A fun spa night at home was the first thing that popped into my head.
I started the spa party planning by putting together a signature drink that is inspired by a cocktail that I had at a birthday party dinner at Abe & Louie’s a few weeks ago. It was called the St-Germain® Cocktail. The drink has 1 1/2 Parts St-Germain®, 2 Parts, 2 Parts Sparkling Wine, Sparkling Water. I also sliced up some cucumbers to make refreshing spa water in a large see-through beverage dispenser that I put on top of my marble slab. Cucumber and water makes me feel more relaxed. I always get spa treatments that have some hot towels that help with circulation. I found a big pack of small white towels that I rolled up and used half for hot towels and the other half to use to wipe our hands and feet after using the lotions and scrubs. Before I heated the towels, I put to the cucumbers on top of the towels so that they have a cucumber essence on them.
I found some excellent products for the party at my local Target. They have a big selection of Burt’s Bees spa products. I focused on the hand and feet products for my spa night in. They had cute gift packs where the products are slightly cheaper because you are buying them as a gift pack. I gave the Hand Repair Kit to my guests to use at the party and to take home. The repair kits includes: Almond & Milk Hand Cream (2 oz); Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (0.30 oz); Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme (0.49 oz); and Cotton gloves. First, we started with the Almond & Milk Hand Cream. It is a super rich, natural hand cream that has Sweet Almond Oil and Vitamin E.
Next, we rubbed the Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream into our cuticles. The cuticle cream has Sweet Almond Oil and Cocoa Seed Butter to moisturize and soften your cuticles while Vitamin E and Sunflower Oil nourish brittle nails. After your rub these in, put the cotton gloves on to help allow the moisture to seep into your hands and cuticles.
For our feet, I poured hot water and Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash into XL The Glad Products Companyand a silver tub. The body wash is made with natural Peppermint and Rosemary. This is a gentle plant-based cleansing formula.
After you soak your feet, my guests scrubbed them Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub. This is the ultimate sugar scrub fix with exfoliating crystals mingled with Pomegranate Oil, Cranberry Seed, and Shea Butter. This body scrub is extremely gentle and polishes your skin to give it an amazing glow.
For the spa night in menu, I made Steak Frites, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and sweet potato fries. I also sliced grapefruit and oranges to give the food a refreshing spa feel.
So cute! I love this! Thanks for the ideas!
