Makeup is not one of my strong suits. I’m happy to put on a little mascara, some foundation, blush, and lip gloss, but anything more and I start to lose patience. Maria Ines Serritella is my go to makeup artist, as you may recall she did my makeup for my save the date engagement photos. The Effie Trinket makeup is extremely over the top, but Maria made it feel like my normal makeup. As you can see, she’s the best!
I have been planning this Effie Trinket Costume for quite some time and actually hunted for the right dress for several months. I found the perfect puffy sleeve Capital garb on Etsy made by Laura Galic of Romania. Her craftsmanship is amazing! I want several of her custom blazers. My faves are the Milla and the Silvia.
My hubby grew out his hair and bought a purple suit so that we could have matching costumes (he was Haymitch Abernathy). He’s such a supportive husband and with him by my side and Maria’s awesome makeup skills, I was able to win best costume idea this Halloween. Thanks guys!
Now, I have to start planning my Halloween costume for next year. Any ideas?
