A Day in the Life of Miss April Golightly
A normal day in my life starts with me heading to the gym for a workout at about 6:46 a.m. During that time, my hubby wakes up with my daughter and feeds her. He sometimes makes me coffee when I skip the gym because I am not even functional enough to do it myself. He’s the best!
When I get home from the gym, I bring my daughter to swimming lessons. After the lessons, she takes a NAP and I actually have time to become human with a shower, get dressed, and maybe write a blog post and work on some fun social media.
After the nap, we go on play dates or go shopping for a post on the April Golightly. Shopping is our thing! Especially now that I can put her in a cart. It is much easier to take her along! I dress comfortably and chic and try to practice the mantra, what would Audrey wear? Like, what would Audrey Hepburn wear to go grocery shopping? Usually, I wear flats, but lately I have been giving the Rockport Seven to 7 a test drive. I am happy to say that I have been wearing them day and night without any blisters! I love the melon color as they are very neutral and go with a ton of my clothes!
Rockport‘s women’s shoe line is now designed in Italy with the world-renowned footwear design veteran, Roberta Rossi as the Artistic Director. The shoes are made with ADIPRENE by adidas sport technology making your favorite pair of high heels feel like your favorite pair of running shoes.
After her first nap, I spend several hours throughout the day reading to my daughter, playing with her, cooking dinner and making her baby food. She actually has 2 more naps during then day. She is a sleeping machine. This baby nap time is usually spent working on social media, doing my hair, and putting on makeup. If I have time during the day, I take a few photos of the food that I make for April GoLightly’s food section. It’s fun trying to get an awesome shot of the food so that it looks as good as it tastes. 🙂

Some nights, I attend local openings, fashion shows, or host fashion and beauty events. At least one night per week, when I am not at events, I style outfits to be photographed or videoed for the blog. This gives me outfits to wear to the events so that I can just grab them and go when I need them. I know the outfits look good because I have already worn them and seen what I look like in them in pictures. It’s awesome! I recommend photographing yourself in your outfits so that when you are in a rush, you have go to ensembles.
