Glam-A-THON Lipstick Lounge
The tickets to this event were complementary. All opinions are 100% my own.
This year I attended the 7th annual Glam-A-THON™ Lipstick Lounge. It was an amazing party for an great cause, fighting breast cancer! Glam-A-THON™ proved to me that without a doubt, you can do good things and have a blast doing them. I ate an crazy amount of sweets, got my makeup done, and added an awesome pink streak to my hair. There is no way that I am missing this event next year! I took some pics of the awesome attendees that just were oozing fabulousness!
5 tips for wearing 1990s inspired grunge today
The 1990s grunge trend is back in a huge way for fall this year. Of course, most women cannot wear flannel and ripped jeans in their daily life. In order to embrace the 90s look without cutting holes in your jeans, try wearing flannel plaid print in a more delicate fabric like silk. The plaid top can be incorporated into with your current wardrobe by pairing it with a simple black pencil skirt. If you are dying to wear flannel and that worn out Nirvana t-shirt that you’ve held on to all these years, wear them on the weekend with skinny jeans and black lace up boots or a light wash denim skirt.
A few weeks ago, I was getting very frustrated with my closet as there was really nothing in there that fit me. There were a few things, but most of the items were not breast feeding friendly. I felt hopeless and very frustrated. As a new mom, I don’t want to spend a ton of money on clothing that I am going to be wearing for such a short time. I definitely plan to be back in my old clothes very soon. How I miss wearing the clothes in my closet! Instead of crying about my body, which I was nearly doing, I decided to add an extra $100 to my clothing budget and try to get as many breast feeding friendly items for that amount as I could find. I started at Sears and found everything that I needed! It was really awesome! This leopard dress is one of the items that I found.
Emilio Pucci was born in 1914 into one of Florence’s oldest noble families. How cool is it that he went from being noble to inventing these awesome prints? The first clothes Pucci designed were for the Reed College skiing team.[3] But his designs came to wider attention in 1947, when he designed ski-wear for a female friend was photographed by Toni Frissell, a photographer working for Harper’s Bazaar. Before the war, Pucci’s sleek designs caused a sensation, and he received several offers from American manufacturers to produce them.[1]
