This week has been awesome! On Sunday and Monday, I went shopping! On Tuesday, I went to the Boca Museum of Art with my sister, Bobbie. On Wednesday, I got the couch that I bought on Sunday! I cannot even imagine what the rest of the week holds for me!

On Tuesday at the opening of IMPACT: 50 Years of the Counsel of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), I wore a Nicole Miller maternity dress from Pea in a Pod that I bought on my shopping spree on Monday. The show is on view from January 29 through April 21, 2013! For more details, check out my original post about the show.

The show had some amazing outfits from every era over the past 50 years. My favorite outfit was the leopard DVF wrap dress. I would totally wear it right now! Some of the fashions were over the top, but that is fashion, and I love it!

At one point, my sister asked me about a gold outfit that was labeled evening wear. She could not believe the outfit was considered evening, but then I pointed out the year. It was the 1970s!

While at the event, we asked the most fashionable person at the museum to take a picture of us. She turned out to be a local fashion blogger Juliana Marques of Fashion on Rock. She is the biggest sweetheart and a great fashion iPhone photographer. Thanks for the great pics Juliana!

My sister’s favorite 50’s dress by Grenelle-Estevez reminds me of the dress Bobbie wore to her Graduation brunch which does not surprise me as I am obsessed with clothes from that era.

  1. You look amazing!  Purple is a great color on you!

Looks like you had a nice time.  It was nice to see the different pictures of styles over the years.  My favorite is the black dress from 1955.
