Chicco Natural Fit Feeding & Soothing System Review
Chicco recently release a Natural Fit Feeding & Soothing System includes 3 stages of bottles, orthodontic pacifiers, and teethers. My daughter has Chicco car seat that we love and I was excited to try out something new from the Italian brand. We received a 4 orthodontic pacifiers and 4 different stages of bottle to review and have been having a blast using them with my daughter. I had no problem getting my daughter to take the Chicco bottles. We’ve had some issues with other bottles so I was happy to see that she was fond of these. You can purchase the bottles in stores at buybuy BABY. I have a secret for saving serious cash at buybuy BABY! You can use unexpired Bed Bath and Beyond coupons in store at buybuy BABY! They are sister companies, hence both being BBB. 🙂 The bottles will available online by the end of the month!
We started using the orthodontic pacifiers as soon as I opening the box because they go missing so much that I always need an extra one. I think, Harrison Ford (my dog) might be stashing them somewhere because they disappear quicker than the socks now. We tried the soft silicone orthodontic pacifier and the orthodontic pacifier and she loved both of them. The nipple is extra soft so that it adapts to unique shape of the baby’s mouth. The shape is designed to evenly distribute the tongue’s pressure against the palate. There are ventilation holes for air circulation and to help prevent the gathering of saliva. The pacifiers are called orthodontic because they were developed by leading European orthodontist to help support physiological oral development.
Enough about the good things that pacifiers do for the baby, let’s talk about all the cool colors they come in! Chicco has a ton of awesome colors and designs and also cool pacifier clips to match! You might think I am crazy, but how cute would it be to match the pacifier to the baby’s outfit!
The Chicco Feeding System has 3 stages. Stage 1 is the squeezing stage with a unique angled nipple and wide rounded nipple base. The soft flexible nipple mimics the mother’s breast. There are twin anti-colic valves that prevent air ingestion, gas and spit up. When my daughter was first born, she had all kinds of issues with gas. This would have been helpful at the time. Stage one goes from 0 to 4 months and consists of 2 different bottles. The first bottle 5 ounces in size with a newborn flow nipple that encourages proper neck positioning for newborns. The second bottle for stage 2 is for 2 months plus with a medium nipple and the same angle as the newborn nipple.
Stage 2 is the transition timer period of 4 months plus. The straight nipple adapts to the baby’s developing feeding skills. These stage 2 bottles come with adjustable flow nipples. You can change the flow by turning the bottle. Position 1 is slow, 2 is medium, and 3 opens the widest. I had never heard of this before, but I think it is pretty cool.
Stage 3 is the sucking phase where the nipple is designed to support a strong sucking motion and baby’s bigger appetite. The base of the nipple is smaller and less rounded for tighter lip support which is required for good sucking action. My daughter is getting to this stage as she almost 6 months old! Can you believe it? I feel like it was just yesterday when I was this big! The nipple has a faster flow rate with multiple holes and there is also a y cut nipple for faster flow rate. You can even buy a soft touch handle that turns the bottle into sippy bottle the baby can drink herself. AHHH! I cannot believe she is growing so fast!
I really enjoyed using the Chicco feeding system. It is a great option for new moms and Chicco has a few gift sets that would be great for baby shower gift, including the Baby’s First Gift Set, 3 Stage Feeding System Gift Set, and the All You Need Starter Set that comes with a microwave sterilizer (I want one!)
