As temperatures and humidity rise, having some refreshing frozen drinks on hand is essential for a summer full of fun times. This Frozen Cucumber Basil Daiquiri works double time with soothing cucumber and ice. White rum and Sweet N Low are the best partners for this drink to keep it low cal and delicious.

Frozen Cucumber Basil Daiquiri

When the sun is blasting heat and you still want a drink, you need something that is cooling and refreshing. That’s why I created this drink. Both the cucumber and the basil are exhilarating – and add the lime juice and ice? It’s a perfect summer cocktail.

You can even make this a virgin drink for the non-drinkers and younger kids.

What type of alcohol is best for a cucumber cocktail?

I used white rum in my drink. I think vodka could work too. But I really like the island vibes I get with rum drinks. I would avoid flavored liquors since this cocktail has so many strong flavors already.

Frozen Cucumber Cocktail Ingredients

These are the ingredients you’ll need to make your own frozen cucumber cocktail.

  • White rum
  • Peeled Cucumber
  • Lime Juice
  • Slices of Cucumber un-peeled to garnish
  • Basil Leaves
  • Ice

How to Make Frozen Cucumber Cocktail

Here’s an overview of how to make your own daiquiri. It’s so amazing, you have to give it a try!

  • Peel half the cucumber and slice 8 pieces of cucumber.
  • Blend white rum, lime juice, basil leaves, and cucumbers.
  • Add 1 cup of ice into a blender.
  • Blend until the ice is crushed.
  • Pour into the cocktail or martini glass.

When to Serve Frozen Cucumber Daiquiris

There are lots of occasions to mix up some of these green cocktails. Here are some of my favorite times, but really they are perfect any time at all.

  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Summer Parties
  • Earth Day Parties
  • Birthday parties
  • Summer cookouts

What other cocktails can you make with frozen cucumber?

Ice and cucumber make the best base for some amazing mixed drinks. I found some more of my other favorites. You could even have a garden party with garden herbs and veggies as the theme!

What type of glass do you use for serving daiquiris?

Honestly, this drink can go in any glass. But if you are having a party, you’ll want to use the glass that most people use for daiquiris.

Serious Eats has an entire guide to glasses and cocktails. According to this guide, you can serve any cocktail inside highball glasses – like the one I used.

You really only want to use stemmed glasses for mixed drinks that don’t have ice. The thought is the stem keeps your hands away from the drink so it doesn’t warm up.
