It gets so hot excruciatingly hot during the summer that a tasty cocktail is a must! Fourth of July, Memorial Day and every weekend in between, you are going to need an amazingly refreshing cocktail that will keep your guests happy all day. Watermelon is the perfect base to start with because it has so much water in it. Hydration is key!!
The genius of this cocktail are the specialty flavors of cucumber vodka from Pinnacle Vodka, St. Germain and Watermelon juice that come together in a mouthwatering pleasure explosion. I promise you will fall in love just like I did. You will be buying watermelons every weekend all summer long!
This watermelon cocktail is so yummy that you will be happy with it strained and unstrained. It is up to you! Personally, I am a fan of the unstrained version with the muddled watermelon, mint and cucumber in the glass. My only note is that if you are using straws, you should strain the drink so that it can easily come through the straw. You can also garnish with skinny watermelon wedges with side slices if you want to make the cocktail look super fancy. I love fancy so of course, I garnished with the watermelon wedges. Yes, I would like my watermelon cocktail with a side of watermelon…thank you!
1/2 Cup Muddled Cucumbers Slices
2 oz Cucumber Vodka
2 oz White Wine (Sauvignon Blanc with Grapefruit notes is my fave choice)
In a large glass or shaker, muddle the watermelon slices, cucumber quarters, and mint leaves together.
Add white wine, St. Germain, Cucumber Vodka, and simple syrup to mixer.
Fill the glass or shaker with ice.
Stir the cocktail and garnish with watermelon wedge.
