In preparation for football season and the game watching parties that I will be hosting for my husband and neighbors, I put together a Game Day Shopping List .
I started on Pinterest where I found some creative ideas on what to make for the game. I was immediately drawn to these ice cream sandwich footballs. They are super cute and yummy! I found ice cream sandwiches in mini and regular size in the frozen dessert section at Walmart. In the frozen food section, I found Pizza Bites and Spinach Dip. Then, I found a tube of white icing in the baking section.
I stumbled upon the awesome football shaped pretzels! How cute are these mini footballs?!
Then, I decided to try to make this Buffalo Chicken Dip that I am always buying for these parties. I bought several packages of chicken from the meat section. I found the cheeses needed for the recipe as well the hot sauce.
Instead of making a dip, I wanted to make a mini sandwich option with KING’S HAWAIIAN® Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls. Adding KING’S HAWAIIAN® to the mini sandwiches makes them the perfect treat for a Game Day Party. The Mini Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches are the centerpiece of my Game Day Menu. I am working on perfecting the recipe during every football game.
Once I found all the food, I found the essentials that I needed to make the party festive. Walmart has a ton of football party items like Football Platters, Football field tablecloth, napkins, plates, and cute striped straws.
I even picked up some chalkboard paint that I used to paint the back of a beadboard I already had. It is a cool chalkboard that I am using on top of my ottoman coffee table to serve the game day food. I picked up the paint and chalk in the craft section of Walmart.
