Every time I see a leopard piece walk down the runway I have a mental “YAY!” moment. Deep down I fear the day my go-to designers shelve leopard print, leaving magazines to “don’t” my leopard shoe collection. Praise be to leopard fashion gods Dolce and Gabana for allaying that fear for the season by mixing two of my favorite patterns together – leopard and polka dots. Most patterns I loathe. They have a tendency to become dated quite quickly. Polka dots and leopard on the other hand, remain classic. Timeless. Thanks to my long standing affinity for polka dot and leopard I am already well stocked for the current trend.
…regardless of my stock I’m still lusting after a pair of leopard boots, the Rebecca Taylor leopard coat, a snow-leopard mini-messenger bag, and for being casual, an animal print love t-shirt from Forever 21.
Leopard is Life shows a strong passion for the wild, strong and seductive beauty of the leopard, a symbol of freedom and strength.
I love how this post makes the case for leopard print as more than just a passing trend. Pairing leopard with polka dots is such a fun idea, and I agree that both patterns have a timeless quality when styled thoughtfully. Those leopard boots and coat sound like perfect statement pieces too!
