Okay, okay. Everyone knows about Breaking Bad. I’ve been rewatching it this weekend though and dammit, this show is just the best. I only managed to binge the first season and a half so far in my “Re-breakening” but it’s been just as enjoyable as the first time!

For those that don’t know what Breaking Bad is (and hey, there are people that don’t know!) the show is best described as watching a character go from Mr. Chips to Scarface. The story is about a highschool chemistry teacher named Walter White who is diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Fearing that he will die leaving his family with nothing, he decides to “break bad” and start cooking meth with a former student. The hang-up? A brother-in-law who is a DEA agent, a suspicious and pregnant wife as well as a whole host of villains that occupy the drug manufacturing and dealing world.

The show ran from 2008 to 2013 and all seasons are available on Netflix. The best watching experience is on the PS3 or any of the Netflix apps that auto play between episodes, because who wants to waste the precious seconds when power streaming?

The acting in this show is impeccable. Bryan Cranston won 4 Emmy’s for his performance as Walter White. Aaron Paul won 3 for his performance as Walter’s former student Jessie Pinkman. Other members of the show also won awards as well as the show itself. The critics have spoken, and now so am I. If you have a Netflix account and haven’t watched it, do so now. If you have watched it, well what are you waiting for, it’s time to revisit it!

  1. I still haven’t watched it, everyone I know keeps telling me to marathon it. I do want to watch it but I prefer paranormal shows like Supernatural, Grimm, The Originals etc. .. I will get to it though and I know I’ll be hooked.
