To me, chocolate and raspberry are my favorite fruit and chocolate combination. That is why I decided to add raspberries to these Chocolate Brownies. This weekend my friend had a party. I was barely had time to get my daughter dressed so I threw together these extremely simple Raspberry Chocolate Brownies. I used a brownie mix and raspberry preserves that I had in my pantry to make them. They came out fantastic so I thought that I would share the quick and very simple recipe with you.
A Stunningly Beautiful Dessert That Looks Homemade
Your friends will think that you made it from scratch! It is all about the presentation! I won’t tell your secret if you don’t tell mine!!!
In fact, buy some fresh raspberries to put on top. That’s what sets these brownies apart from other ones. That extra little fruit with powdered sugar makes it look fancy, and like you worked hours on the dessert.
These are not finger foods, so serve them on your fanciest plates and with your beautiful flatware.
Raspberry Chocolate Brownies Recipe
What sets these brownies apart from other brownies is the topping. I combined whipped cream, raspberry jam and powdered sugar, to create a fluffy topping that you’ll want to eat by itself.
And because raspberry and chocolate go so perfectly together, I put some raspberry jam directly on the brownies, layered some of that divine fluff, and for the finishing touch, a fresh raspberry on top dusted with powdered sugar.
It looks super fancy and tastes scrumptious! No one will be able to guess it only took you a few minutes to make.
Party Serving Idea
If you want to serve them at a party, cut them into 1-inch pieces, with a dollop of jam, whipped cream, and a piece of fruit on top.
Another topping idea? Dark chocolate shavings. This is a stunning dessert with multiple layers and dimensions. Experiment with it, and make it as beautiful as you can dream.
Shopping List
Before you make these brownies, here is what you will need from the store. There are only 5 ingredients, so it’s very simple.
- 1 commercially prepared brownie mix
- 1 jar of raspberry preserves
- 1 tub of prepared whipped topping
- Confectioners’ sugar for garnish
- 1 container of fresh raspberries
How to Make Chocolate Brownies with Raspberry Topping
First, prepare brownies according to the box direction. Let cool completely.
Next, make the raspberry fluff topping. To do this, fold in the raspberry preserves with the whipped topping on a 2:1 ratio. (Two tablespoons of whipped topping to one tablespoon of preserves). Set aside.
When the brownies have cooled, cut them into 3” squares.
Spread a tablespoon of raspberry preserves onto each brownie. Doesn’t this look scrumptious already?
Top each brownie with the whipped topping mix
Garnish with a fresh raspberry and sprinkled confectioners’ sugar.

Brownie Mix-In Ideas
Honestly, these brownies taste rich and filling without any extra ingredients mixed in. But if you want to try to add a bit of depth and more flavors, here are some ideas you can try.
- Chocolate Chips
- Salted Caramel Pieces
- Peanut Butter
- Nuts of your choice
Another idea is you can change this from raspberry chocolate brownies to cherry chocolate brownies. Use cherry preserves instead of raspberry and maybe even include some dried cherry chips inside the brownie batter.
