Laundry for me is something that I avoid as much as possible. This avoidance ends up biting me in the butt because it piles up and takes over the house for a few days. I am trying to get the house together so that I can add a laundry room to my kitchen so that I can do laundry outside of garage.
After spending an entire week with a green blogger friend, I feel like I am not green enough. I was on the hunt for a greener laundry detergent that still cleans great. I found Tide PurClean, a new laundry detergent that just started to be sold in Target. It is being featured on the end cap right now. Tide PurClean gets clothes as clean as regular Tide, but with less environmental impact. The detergent is Certified by the USDA BioPreferred Program, made with 100% renewable electricity and is made at a zero manufacturing waste to landfill site.
It is nice to see that a huge brand like Tide is taking notice of the change in the peoples wants and needs. This is a great step for all those green moms that are looking for greener products. Tide PurClean is 65-percent derived from plants. Success with Tide PurClean Laundry Detergent with consumers will eventually lead to increased adoption of plant-derived cleaning agents across all P&G products. That is pretty serious and I really want to support this change.
I tried out the Tide Purclean on my dirtiest clothes – my daughters school clothes. She is always the dirtiest when she comes home from school. I think she plays extra hard when I am not around. I followed the Tide directions on how much to use on a massive load. I pretreated some serious stains with a little bit of Tide PurClean directly on the stain with a little elbow grease to scrub it out. Some of the stains, I let sit with the treatment on top for about 15 minutes. I am excited to announce that all the stains came out. The laundry also had a nice smell that wasn’t over powering. Harrison Ford dove right into the clean clothes when I was folding them! He gave me a cute thank you face after he got comfortable.
