We had a blast this weekend at the Dia De Los Muertos Boynton Beach Mall event. They had an amazing festival for the Day of the Dead with face painting, piñata, mariachi band, cookie decorating, and painting.

It was a super fun activity for me and my daughter! The Boynton Beach Mall is extremely family friendly and super fun! We love shopping there!

Painting Sugar Skulls

The first thing that we did at the Dia De Los Muertos Boynton Beach Mall event was paint sugar skulls on  canvas with a painting instructor. The canvases were outlined already to make it easier so me and my daughter were both able to paint.

We entered to win the sugar skull painting that the instructor painted and actually won! How great is that? My daughter was so excited to paint and also to win.

Face Painting

To celebrate the day of the dead, the Boynton Beach Mall had a face painter on site that painted calavera design faces. My daughter is obsessed with face painting!

Also, I really liked the way that the face painter made the line. She painted a number on each kids hand in line. This ensures that the kids don’t actually have to wait in line to get painted. They can still enjoy the festival and all the other crafts while they wait.

Sugar Skull Crafts

The Boynton Beach Mall had tables set up for the kids to color sugar skulls and decorate sugar skull cookies. It was so much fun!

Mariachi Band

For Entertainment, the Boynton Beach Mall had a Mariachi band and Ballet Folkloric dance performances. The mariachi band was a nice backdrop to make the Dia De Los Muertos Boynton Beach Mall festival feel extremely authentic.

Piñata

The Sugar Skull Piñata was really fun for the kids. The hosts were really good about making sure through strategic movements that all the kids got a whack at the Piñata. It was really impressive! Also, after the candy broke out, the hosts gave out more candy so that the kids that were not fast enough or big enough didn’t feel left out.

COCO Character Appearances

The Boynton Beach Mall had a Coco character appearances. Miguel and Mama Imelda were walking around taking pictures. If you love COCO as much as we do, don’t forget to download these FREE printables

Shopping at Boynton Beach Mall

After the event, we went shopping at the Boynton Beach Mall. They have great stores that I love for both me and my daughter including JCPenney with Sephora Inside, H&M, Claire’s, and American Eagle. Here are some of our favorite picks from Sephora Inside JCPenney that we found at the Boynton Beach Mall.

The JCPenney at the Boynton Beach Mall has a great Disney section for kids that I absolutely love shopping during the holidays.

Dia De Los Muertos Shopping at the Boynton Beach Mall

During the event, the Boynton Beach Mall hosted a raffle where you entered to win Dia de los Muertos products from around the mall. It was super stuff including the headbands my daughter and I got at Claire’s in the Boynton Beach Mall.
