Low Carb Hollandaise sauce

Last year for our anniversary my husband and i went to to dinner at a nice steak restaurant in Boca Raton called New York Prime. We had the most amazing steaks topped with the best hollandaise suace I ahve ever had. As I was checking my fitness pal, I realized that most hollandaise sauces are Keto because all the ingredients are low carb.

After discovering the low carb nature of this amazing sauce, I started using it on everything! You can easily make hollandaise in beginning of the week and plan your meal plans around it for the whole week. Here are a few ideal on how to use hollandaise sauce.

  • You can use hollandaise sauce to top vegetables like Broccoli, artichokes, and asparagus. Here is a fantastic grilled artichoke recipe that would go great with this sauce.
  • You can also use it to top your cauliflower and Brussel sprouts
  • Hollandaise also pairs extremely well with meats like steak, chicken and fish. It is traditionally served with Salmon.
  • You can even use it at breakfast to top your eggs and omelette. Traditionally, hollandaise is served over Eggs Benedict made with poached eggs. We served it here over a low carb Irish Eggs Benedict with low carb corned beef hash.

Is Hollandaise Sauce keto friendly?

Yes, Hollandaise Sauce by nature of its ingredients is Keto friendly. On the Keto diet, you usually try to avoid packaged items and preservatives. That it is best to make it from scratch at home. But, if you are at a restaurant, this is a good way to spice up an omelette or pouched eggs without adding a ton carbs or sugar.
